We present a summary from CYBERSEC CEE EXPO & FORUM 2024 in which you will find the key insights from both the FORUM and EXPO stages.
The FORUM stage featured the theme “BEYOND DEFENCE – TOWARDS PROACTIVE CYBERSECURITY”, highlighting the necessity of shifting to proactive measures against cyber threats. Discussions also took place in light of Poland’s upcoming Presidency of the Council of the European Union in 2025, setting forth digital priorities for Poland, Europe, and the transatlantic bloc.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs, Krzysztof Gawkowski, honored us with his presence, outlining Poland’s digital development plans and unveiling new initiatives like “Cybertarcza”.
Additionally, an important moment occurred with the signing of a Letter of Intent between the Kościuszko Institute and the European Cyber Security Organisation (ESCO). This collaboration will commence with shaping the discourse on our leadership both before and during the presidency. Over the next year, debates dedicated to the key challenges of European cybersecurity will be held in Krakow and Brussels.
The EXPO stage, under the banner “BRIDGING EUROPEAN CYBERSECURITY MARKETS” served as a hub for discovering cutting-edge technological solutions. Our speakers shared their knowledge and experiences, illustrating specific challenges with real-world examples. The topics covered the development of artificial intelligence, SOC responsibilities, and the certification of technology companies. Entrepreneurs and startup owners also had the opportunity to learn about the best practices in cybersecurity.
We extend our special thanks to our main partner, the Małopolska Voivodeship, and to our partner and host, the City of Krakow. We are delighted that, after years, CYBERSEC has returned to Krakow!
