The First Meeting of the CYBERSEC: Road to Polish Presidency 2025 Working Group is Behind Us!

On November 4, we launched the series of meetings under CYBERSEC: Road to Polish Presidency 2025, bringing together experts from various sectors to address key digital challenges. The meeting was held in a roundtable format, with the first session focusing on cyber hygiene and the development of digital competencies. During this inaugural gathering, we prioritized tangible and effective actions to support the advancement of digital skills and the creation of a safe network for all.

The Chair of the CYBERSEC Programme Committee Marietta Gieroń, emphasized that participation from both the public and private sectors facilitates the formulation of practical recommendations. “Every voice matters, as we collectively strive to create real solutions for Poland’s digital future,” she said prior to the start of the meeting. Participants included experts from the Ministry of Digital Affairs, Digital Europe, the OECD, Deloitte, and AGH University of Science and Technology, ensuring a broad perspective on the topics discussed.

The panelists highlighted that one of the priorities should be the creation of accessible educational programs targeted at children, youth, seniors, and public administration employees. They also pointed out the need to incorporate soft skills and the development of social competencies essential for thriving in a digital environment. Representatives from Deloitte and AGH emphasized the importance of systematic efforts to update training programs and improve communication between universities and the job market.

The goal of these meetings is to develop a policy brief for the government that will support Poland’s digital strategy for 2025–2035. With collaboration from the Ministry of Digital Affairs, these discussions will help identify challenges and outline actions in the field of cybersecurity.

The second meeting is scheduled for November 21, at the ECSO headquarters in Brussels.
