Chairman of the Executive Board of Górnośląsko-Zagłebiowska Metropolia. A political scientist by training, he holds an MBA degree and is an academic lecturer. He serves on expert councils at leading universities in the Silesian Voivodeship and is a member of the Polish Economic Society.
From November 2024 to April 2026, he served as Vice-Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship, responsible for transformation and development, healthcare, international cooperation, as well as sport and regional promotion. He has been actively involved in the transformation of the Silesian mining sector and in addressing its economic, business, and social implications.
He also served as President of Polska Grupa Górnicza (Polish Mining Group), Europe’s largest hard coal mining and sales company. Earlier in his career, he was an officer of Poland’s intelligence and security services, including the Office for State Protection (UOP) and the Internal Security Agency (ABW), where he headed regional branches in Opole and Katowice.
After leaving public service, he worked in the critical infrastructure sector and later became an entrepreneur, co-founding and managing a consultancy company.
